Tracey Croasdale
CEO and Service Manager
Tracey has worked with DAAS for over 16 years and now leads the organisation as CEO and Service Manager. She is responsible for strategic development, sustainability, and partnership working, collaborating with commissioners, funders, and partners to strengthen services and expand support across Derbyshire.
Tracey brings a strong operational background, having worked as a Substance Misuse Counsellor, Clinical Coordinator, and manager of single point of access services for drug and alcohol support, as well as the East Midlands Gambling Harms Service. Her experience underpins a focus on safeguarding, risk management, and the delivery of high-quality, trauma‑informed services.

Carita Curnyn
Deputy Service Manager
Carita has worked at DAAS since 2010 and contributes to operational leadership, clinical governance oversight, and service development.
She oversees the Single Point of Contact Hub, Training Team, and Counselling Team, bringing strong operational experience from her previous roles as HUB Manager and Training Manager within the drug and alcohol treatment service. She has also supported service delivery as a volunteer alcohol worker and brings experience across multiple levels of the organisation.
As a qualified trainer, Carita has developed and delivered drug and alcohol awareness training, including identification and brief advice. She now leads on the development and oversight of training provision, ensuring programmes are responsive to need and aligned with service priorities. She has led and contributed to a number of successfully funded initiatives, including Motivational Interviewing, Healthy Workplaces Derbyshire, the Derbyshire Lived Experience Career Pathway, and bespoke training programmes.
Carita works closely with partner agencies to promote education, raise awareness, and support improved access to services, ensuring professionals are equipped to identify need and support change.
Her work is underpinned by a strong belief that education is key to supporting positive change and reducing harm.

Iain Highlands
DAAS Finance & Business Manager
Iain joined DAAS as Finance and Business Manager in October 2021. Iain is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accounts and joins DAAS following a long career as a Finance Director in the private sector primarily working in food manufacturing businesses.

Elaine Probert
STAND TO Project Manager
Elaine has been the Stand To Manager since April 2026, having previously supported the service as its administrator. She brings both professional expertise and lived experience to the role, with a strong understanding of the Armed Forces community.
As an Army wife for 12 years, Elaine worked closely within military welfare, taking on a wide range of responsibilities. Her experience includes organising community events such as children’s Christmas parties, delivering parenting support, and providing practical and emotional support to injured service personnel and bereaved families.
Now a veteran’s wife, Elaine has a deep appreciation of the challenges faced when transitioning from military to civilian life. This insight enables her to connect with and support veterans and their families with empathy and understanding.
Elaine is proud to be part of the STAND TO team and is passionate about the positive difference the service makes to those it supports.
Mary Kellary
Counselling Team Manager
Mary has worked with DAAS for over 20 years. She brings over 23 years of experience in the field, including working in private practice.
During her time at DAAS, Mary has supported a wide range of clients, including individuals affected by addiction, people in prison settings, and veterans through the STAND TO project.
For the past 7 years, Mary has led the counselling team, overseeing the delivery of services across Derbyshire. She brings a strong commitment to high-quality, client-centred care and has extensive experience in managing and supporting a diverse counselling workforce.
In addition to her core counselling work, Mary is trained in hypnotherapy, supporting relaxation and confidence building, as well as trauma-focused approaches including Rewind and EMDR.

John Ydlibi
Chair
John is a Chartered Accountant and worked for Rolls-Royce in Derby for over 30 years in a number of senior Finance Executive roles in the Civil Aerospace division.
Recently retired, John has drawn on his business background to take on a range of voluntary roles within the charity sector. These include Chair of DAAS, along with other Chair and Trustee positions across regional and national organisations. Through these roles, he brings a broad understanding of governance, strategy, and sector-wide challenges.

David Hurn
Trustee
David is a qualified social worker with over 20 years’ experience working within the NHS, specialising in addiction and treatment services. His career has spanned a range of clinical roles, from assessment and frontline delivery through to specialist safeguarding, before moving into management roles.
David brings broad experience across a range of service areas, including acute mental health, eating disorders, gambling harms, forensic settings and perinatal services. He has a strong track record in partnership working and is particularly committed to collaborative and innovative approaches to delivering effective care.
His experience also includes service performance management, as well as the design, review, and submission of competitive bids and tenders for funding.
David previously worked closely with DAAS in his role in developing the Derbyshire Recovery Partnership and joined the Board as a Trustee to continue supporting the delivery of high-quality services across Derbyshire.
