Get Help with Alcohol or Substance Misuse

DAAS is part of the Derbyshire Recovery Partnership, providing support for anyone over the age of 18 who lives in Derbyshire (excluding Derby City) and is affected by substance misuse, their own or someone else’s.

If you are a veteran and looking for support, please contact STAND TO DVCS.

To start the process towards Drug and Alcohol Support requires a simple short call to our HUB team. Call now on 01246 206514 to talk about options or to make a referral.

If it is about your own drug or alcohol use

Your details will be taken but also a brief history of what you are struggling with, the substances you are using and how this is impacting your life, health and wellbeing.

Within 20 days you will be offered an assesment appointment through the base most local to where you live. This assessment may be in person or over the phone. During this assessment you and the worker will agree the next steps and support options.

Your ongoing support may include but not be limited to:

  • 1:1 keywork and support
  • Prescribed medication
  • Community Detox
  • Harm reduction and health advice
  • Opportunities to attend group work
  • Recovery activities
  • Counselling
  • Education

Throughout the process you will have choice and input into what will work best. You are the key player in your own recovery.

Call now on 01246 206514 or contact us.

If you are affected by someone else’s drug or alcohol use

Your details will be taken but also a brief history of what you are experiencing and how you are impacted.

You will receive support from one of our counselling team or a substance misuse worker.

To receive this help the alcohol or dtug user does not have to be accessing support. You cannot refer someone else, including the substance user into support.

Call now on 01246 206514 or contact us.

If you are a professional making a referral into service

We can accept third party referrals though it is more appropriate and successful if the individual being referred is present and activeIy involved in the initial referral.

3rd party referrals MUST have the informed consent of the individual being referred.

The referral will not be complete or processed further until we have made contact with the individual being referred for support.

3rd party referrals can be made via the referral line or by securely emailing our 3rd party referral form. Referral to assessment can be up to 20 days.
