DAAS provide a counselling service within Derbyshire Recovery Partnership for those people who as part of their treatment plan have been identified as being ready to explore some of the underlying issues which are contributing to their alcohol or substance misuse.
Our counselling service is accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). All our counsellors are members of the BACP and adhere to the ethical framework for the counselling professions. We also provide EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) which is an effective therapy in the healing of traumatic and disturbing experiences. This psychological therapy is not appropriate for everyone and you can speak with your counsellor about this. *Currently due to COVID19 all appointments are being carried out by phone and not in person. |
