Support For You

If you are affected by the substance or alcohol use of someone you are close to, we can offer advice and support. We understand that whether or not your family member is seeking support, is in treatment or recovery from a substance use problem, there are still challenges that you may have to face.

Some of the concerns you might have are:

  • How will I cope if they relapse?
  • How can I live with this fear?
  • How can I manage the impact it has on my family?
  • How do I cope in social situations, should I stop drinking too?

We know how difficult this can be, many of our family intervention workers have experienced living with substance use.

What We Offer

  • Telephone support provided by someone with experience of a family member’s substance misuse
  • Free easily accessible remote course on understanding addictions
  • Opportunities for peer support

We also offer affected family members, BACP accredited counselling based on the CRAFT © Model (Community Re inforcement and Family Training). This evidence base programme can be delivered 1:1 and in a group.
